We haven't had any issues with hitting the bikes when turning sharply. We do only put 2 bikes on the rack though. Also, we have a longer bar for the WDH which provides some guardband.
The only issue that I remember was when we did not disconnect the TM from the TV overnight. It was very tight to leave the bikes on but doable.
Even though we carried only 2 bikes between TV and TM while towing, we did use the other slot/slots when we drove to a location away from our campsite to bike. We take the bikes off of the rear of the TM and put them on the Swagman. We carry 4 bikes total.
