Default Torsion Bars

Whilst crawling under my TM wire brushing off rust from the axle and frame in preparation for sealing and painting, I looked at the torsion bars where they terminate in the boxes with the adjusting bolts. The TM is opened and I noticed that some of the torsion bars were not in contact with the adjusting bolts. Is that normal? I had some difficulty raising the front half as I recall and will want to refresh myself on the proper methods to adjust the torsion bars after I get the new brakes, bearings and wheels re-installed. The weather here in Southern MD has been too cold for me to seal and paint the frame under the TM. I want to get all the frame nearest the tires done before putting them back on so they aren’t in the way. Sigh 😔
