I found two dings on my roof that were hail size when I bought my TM. Nothing as extensive as your damage of course. I filled them with 3m 5200 adhesive, leveled them and let them cure for a few weeks. Its hard to tell where the damage was and if I sanded and painted it would be gone. Of course there are lots of other fillers which can be used as well. The 5200 bonds particularly well with painted aluminum cleaned with mineral spirits.
With extensive damage there might be some structural degradation or some loss in insulating value and the honest resale value is severely compromised.
