Matt -

It was almost certainly contact cement, available anywhere. The fact that the strip has pulled off probably means that the edge of the Formica trim strip, where it meets the Formica on the countertop, was not beveled correctly. We discussed this problem several years ago, and I thought TM had taken it in hand. I don't know the year of your TM (why don't you add it to your sig line?), but if it is new, that's disappointing. The good news, I guess, is that the strip pulled off, rather than chipping.
