Here are a few numbers that might help. We have a 2004 2720 that I just did some width measurements on. I got a base width of 7' 8" that did not include a 1/4" or so on each side that the hold-down latches, etc. that stick out beyond that on my unit -- it may be a bit less. Our unit has an outside light on both the door side and the non-door side of the TM, the outdoor lights measure between 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" on each side. The awning measures just shy of 3 1/2" in width (which is wider than the door side light). Sounds a little tight, but hopefully you will be able to play around with the numbers a bit and find something that works for your garage!
