Default Craving "Tunes"

Our 2619 has no radio/CD player and I want to install one. Problem is, I can't decide where to put it. I assume that the speakers will work fine at either end of the cabinet module in the top end of the front clamshell. If I install the actual radio/CD player there, I'll have to crawl across the bed to load/unload CDs.

Any advice from those who have also had this challenge?

In the wood panel just above the refrig door, there should be a protruding wood block that is just the size of a radio. Slip a dull tool behind it, and it should pop out. All the wiring is inside the cavity.

Depending on the age of your TM. Our 2000 doesn't have the cutout and I'm not sure when they started putting it there - fact is, ours doesn't even have the speakers!

Oops. Didn't know that, Jim, thanks for letting me (and all of us) know. So presumably your TM has no power or antenna wiring, or even an antenna, either? By 2002, it was all there.

WildWG, what year is your TM? Why don't you add it to your signature line, to make it read like Jim's?

Default TM Age

Our 2619 is titled as a 2000, though the information plate on the side of the trailer says July, 1999. There is no place to install a radio above the reefer, nor does it have speakers.

We tow it with a 2005 Toyota V6 4Runner, via a class II Hidden Hitch receiver and an Equalizer WDH. We've had it a little over 1 year, graduating up from a 1984 Jayco popup that we spent dozens of nights in over some 10 years.

While the TM is wonderful, we normally set the blackened and greasy Coleman stove and the 5 gal. water jug out on the campsite table to provide the illision of camping.

I don't know how to create a signature line and if it takes more than 3 minutes to learn, I'd just as soon forget it.

Much less than three minutes.

In the upper left corner of the page, click on "User CP"
Click on "Edit Signature"
Type in your desired signature line - maybe "2000 2619, 2005 4-Runner".
Hit "Save Signature"
Still under "User CP", click "Edit Options"
Scroll down to "Thread Display Options" (its about halfway down).
Put a check mark in front of "Display signature"
Go to the bottom and click "Save Changes"

You're done. And it will help you get better answers in the future.
