Default water heater

We just got back from out first camping trip with the TM. in regards to the water heater when we are plug in do we still need to use the propane to get it working?

I know on propane it works fine, Just was not sure...

I did turn the switch on the outside to the on position.

Is the switch on the inside suppose to be on the "On" position while on electric..

Newbie here.

Thanks

You may use electric, or propane, or both. They are independent.

The inside switch controls the propane part of the heater, and has no effect on the electric part. The outside switch controls the electric part, and has no effect on the propane part.

Be sure that both heaters are OFF when the tank has no water in it. The electric element in particular will destroy itself in seconds if operated dry.
