Default Blowing main battery termal fuse?

I have a 2007 3327 King that I had the "factory" install a solar panel on it last fall.

On our trip to Utah we blew a fuse (30 amp cyclinder type lead to the battery) each day that we moved with the fridge on battery and the fan on as instructed.

Any ideas and how to test for whats going on.

Thanks.

Norman

I have no idea if this is your problem, but the glass cylinder fuses in this application are prone to blowing. My first step would be to replace it with a blade-type fuse. Extremely easy to do, and you can get the holder and fuse(s!) at any auto parts store or even Wal-Mart.

I had the same issue-replaced the glass fuse with a blade and have not blown one since

Fuses open when the small wire inside melts ( heat) due to the current flowing thru it. The glass fuse holder is very prone to loose and corroded connections both of which cause heat. This lowers the amount of current needed to melt the fuse element. The automotive spade fuse if the solution as mentioned above.

Default Why doesn't factory use spade fuse?

If this is been an issue I wonder why factory doesn't actually use the spade fuse. Seems to me to make a lot more sense.

Although no near as bad, the blade type are also prone to failure due to heat at the connection. I prefer the marine style breakers. As for the original fuse, glass type, that is normally added by the dealer not the factory and its most like old habit.
