Seacliff SB Campground

As most of you know, we have been having terrible storms and rain here in Santa Cruz County.

Seacliff SB Campground is trashed. There are only the bathrooms left (could only see one), the fences that keep people from falling off the walkway are mostly gone. Utilities are ruined, as well as the parking lot. The pier is severely damaged and the locals here think that the State will not fork out the money to rebuild it. The upper parking lot is closed so we haven't been able to walk along there to get the whole picture.

I'm glad that DH and I got to live here as long as we
have and enjoy that beach and pier. Used to go fishing with my son out there, but it's pretty much gone now.

It's so sad to see. I've never camped there, but I hope to in the future. I hope the repairs and fixes go well and quickly. Thanks for sharing the link.

New Brighton Beach is just north of there. It is a very nice campground and some sites have hookups. We've stayed there a couple of times. Also, Sunset State Beach is nice. I don't know if they have hookups.

With the price of gas, we decided to rent a cabin instead of towing the TM this summer. It costs a bit more but it's where our friends always stay and we don't have to worry about trying to get reservations for the TM. It's so hard to get reservations for popular campgrounds in CA. Our internet connection is so slow here and makes it impossible to get reservations. I used to go to the office early and try to get reservations but I'm retired now.
