Default 12volt while towing

Hello ,
We have a 05 2619 and I’m adding a digital wireless rear view camera to the back of the TM . I’m thinking of running a power extension wire from the camera which will be mounted on the back of the AC shroud (for the birds eye view )down underneath the front shell to the cigarette lighter plug near the fridge , what I don’t know is if the plug is hot while towing , if so this would be ideal since I wouldn’t have to drill or tap into any wires.
Thanks for any and all help in this matter.

I'm quite sure the socket (not plug) is hot while towing.

Of course you will need to make sure that there is enough slack in your wire run, properly suspended, that nothing snags, pulls, and breaks when you raise the front shell.

Bill , I’m planning to use these to hold the cord out of the way so there are no snags, etc .If my plan works it will have plenty of slack . I should have about 3-4 ft left to play with , been planning this for a long time , hope it works . Being a nurse and not an electrician really is a disadvantage at times ! Lol
Thank you for the quick reply!
