Default outside light bulb change.

I just picked up a used 2005 TM. I noticed that the light by the door does not switch on. also noticed that one of the orange night lights omes on dim. is it a simple process to switch out a light bulb? is there any prep neeeded? I'll have the batter disconnected. is that enough?

Thanks

There are two switches that control the light by the door in our TM, one inside on the wall above the oven, one on the light itself.

Dim lights are most likely caused by a bad ground connection to the light receptacle.

There is no special process to change a light bulb -- just change it.

I think its as you say a bad ground. I'll check it.

The outside lights use the metal exterior skin of the TM as the ground connection and many times the connection corrodes as they are not totally dry. Loosen the ground screw and re tighten and it should be fine. I used no-ox paste ( available at most electronics stores) on all my outside connections and on the bulb sockets. Keeps them from corroding.
