Default Cleaning awning

I've seen several posts where folks said their awning was dirty but they couldn't clean it because it was too fragile.
I made the mistake of not opening mine and sweeping it off after rolling it up wet with leaves on it. It was stained pretty bad, both the top and bottom from the leaves being rolled up in it. As you can see by my before picture there were a lot of stains. I used Awesome and a scrub brush and it really cleaned up good. I don't know if my awning is made of a better fabric than others, but it is pretty tough!
If you hadn't thought about it before, make sure there aren't any leaves or debris on your awning before rolling it up. If you must roll it up wet with stuff on it , roll it out as soon as you can and clean the junk off.

We have not used our awning yet, but we do plan to use it this summer.

It's in great shape but I had been wondering how we would clean it when it became necessary. Thanks very much for the recommendation.
