I replaced one of my side wood pieces. I used treated wood, but used my table saw to trim it to the exact dimensions I needed. Then I used the end cut treatment on all the cut surfaces.

I used gorilla glue because it is the same formulation used to glue the aluminum skin to the wood or styrofoam. I've had no issues with adhesion.
