Default Cheyenne Mountain State Park

Hi there....

I just took a trip to Cheyenne Mountain State Park, located on the very south end of Colorado Springs, just off Highway 115. It is a PRIMO place to go!! Yes, it is near the city, but you will feel like you are overlooking the city while staying in the mountains. There is a reason it took so long to complete...lots of cost overruns.....but that is apparent in the facilities!!! They are second to none when compared to other Colorado State Parks, and are probably comparable to the best in the USA. The trail network is great for hiking and mountain biking. If you have kids, the facilities are perfect, yet you are only ten minutes from Chuck-E-Cheeses, as well as a movie theater. I can't say enough about it.....the only complaint will be the turn in from the highway to the park....those of us with Trailmanors should be fine, but big rigs will struggle.

Take Care!!!
