It's all in your perspective, I think, and despicability or dishonesty does not enter into it. At least I hope not.

My point was taken out of context. A person is of the character they are on a daily basis, and as a result of their daily actions, regardless of their financial status. I thought this was a stimulating conversation, and I'm glad to contribute. Logman

Hmmm. Taken out of context would be using only some of your words to appear as a negative. I've read and reread your two sentences and can't figure out what part was out of context? What you said was judgemental of persons with wealth.

I love my 3124 and think the same when I pull into some place with the rockstar coaches, but realized they just have never seen such a wonderful animal as our TMs. I have not seen many in Southern Ca and I am guessing either have many others by the comments I hear out my window when they think we can't hear them. I always invite them in and I bet I have sold at least 1. I guess it's all the way you look at it.

Well, I've always been one to do whatever it is that I find enjoyable without any thought of what others think. I absolutely love the design, utility, and ease of use my TM has; regardless of what anyone else thinks. As long as you enjoy your TM and are having a good time, that's all that matters....happy is happy; there's no such thing as a 'better happy' than someone else.

Taken from a different angle, and to echo many of those above:

I once was riding in a nice boat with someone who, out of character said, "I wonder what the poor people are doing today?", referring to those less fortunate than he who could not afford any boat, wherever they were.

To this, I quickly responded, "They are riding in this boat!", and in saying so, I was referring to us.

My point was that, from a solely materialistic view, whether you are rich or poor simply depends on your perspective. And no matter how poor you are, there will always be some that have less; and no matter how wealthy you are, there will always be some that have more.

Thank whichever being you may or not believe in that you enjoy good enough health to enjoy your TM, as there have been many here that have been forced to give theirs up because they don't have that luxury.

Scottiedogs, shouldn't your post be under "TrailManors Wanted"?

I want to see one of those. I also may have gone with the cammo treatment on my 2417, if I had known it was available prior to ordering mine. That would really have gotten the Class-A folks looking!

Not yet, I am always open for new things that TM has to offer I agree the cammo will raise an eyebrow.

cammo would be nice. You don't have to do all the work keeping a shine and if you get a scratch simple to touch up.

Don't forget few material things depreciate faster than RV's. Sure, very affluent folks may not care, but still it is a function of value. And some RVers who bought their class A rigs new will lose considerable dollars especially if they need to sell their rig not long after buying it. TM's hold their value better than nearly any other RV.
Every time I go to the big RV show in Hershey I have fun calculating how much it costs to fill up those big tanks and how far I can go. Hundreds of dollars just to fill your fuel tank, when I use one fourth of the fuel.
It is not what you have, it's how well you manage what you have. That's what makes one first class or not in my book.
And for me, once I have the basics, the more luxuries I have removes me from the camping experience and makes it feel less of an adventure. If I had a rig where I was never hot, never cold, never having to improvise, geez what fun would that be? Yes, balance works and for me a TM strikes a good balance in a number of areas.
