How about the saran wrap on the plug. Looks like a plug for it would be very similar to the types drag racers use on hood scoops..

Good idea hawkeyez. I have pushed the plug/stopper way down on my "to do" list because we haven't foreseen the need to have one yet. In an emergency, a small towel wrapped in saran wrap would probably do.
