Just checked eBay, wow someone had a free door kit but unit is 900 dollars, I assure you that is way above list from a dealer!

Yes we used the Magic 80 toilet for both #1 and #2 and I'm sorry folks, it would just start to stink badly on the later part of day 2. If it was hot outside, it was worse.

The curve is the "cat's meow" and it is working great. My other camper had the cassette and I loved that too.

If someone needs parts for the Magic 80 just let me know.
Agree. Porta potty/cassette when dry camping seems more ideal for us (IMO).

We have installed a TPMS system, plan to change tires Q3-5yrs, drive vigilantly & remain O/C about proper tire maintenance. In spite all of this, one only needs to view some youtube videos of RV tire blow outs and ponder how many puncture prone projectiles (PPP) on our debris filled roads are blasted at the TM tires from the TV tires.

Installation of the Curve (removed all black water components) has allayed fear (and plan for future deflector shield protection installation) over the rare but ugly left TM tire blow out (BO) where the tire remnants (TR) yield nutritional remnants (NR), everywhere (FAN) and major headache (HA).
{BO + TR = NR >>>> FAN + HA}.

arrives tomorrow. Old toilet gone Bless your heart Bill. Not fun but such great advice! Platform built. Some measuring and placement and trim issues then wahoo.

In summer, we are nowhere near a dump station. Then we will have full hookups for a month in AZ and we are determined to modify the original black water hookups so we can dump from the bathroom then but that is another day :-)
Curious: What made you choose the 550P over the curve?

BTW: I love the concept of the open platform, so that you can use the black hook up if wanted. I have a feeling, if I ever replace my Electromagic, this is the type of approach I'd take, as it's essentially "best of both".

For people who don't like the Thetford for other reasons, replacement may make sense. If the concern is smell, though - well, I don't get it. But that is just me.

Bill, the really important reason to switch to a cassette is that you can check the dietary health of all your family while you're dumping the cassette.

Prerogatives are good. Recirc vs. another method
Never pleasing duty but Curve (and likely cassette) adopters prefer to deal with the dumping of contents in a toilet/forest service toilet/home than deal with the stinky slinky (set up, dump and then attempt to clean out the residual contents and store) and the obligatory wait your turn in line (even using the home sewer clean out access is no picnic).

AND since Bill wants to lighten it up...
Like a buddy of mine says, "misery is optional"
and another says "it's only $. If ya got it, use it".
Orrrr, one may fully embrace it like a gastroenterologist would.
"it may be stuff to you but to us it's our bread and butter".

Kidkraz,
Figured Bill is so busy making screen door kits that he wanted the forum members to
Yuk ('n Yuck) it up a bit.
