Default Spark ignitor for oven and all range burners

Here's another variation that allows the igniting of all three range burners AND the oven pilot.

I picked up a "4 output" spark generator on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o00_s00) and a set of four electrodes (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o00_s01). Frist, I enlarged the hole in the front panel already there for a piezo button so the spark generator would fit. I then bent three z-brackets from some scrap sheet metal I had laying around. I made sure the ceramic insulator on the ignitors were above the bottom of the burners. After fishing the wire for the pilot ignitor in the oven, I used a self-drilling screw to attach the ignitor just to the right of the pilot tube and the thermocouple.

Bending the electrode wire was a pain in the arse as it is much stiffer than I expected. If I were to do it again, I would take some more time and find an electrode that is more bendable.

The cap to the ignitor unscrews to reveal a hole where a AA battery can be installed. After replacing the cap, all four ignitors will spark whenever the cap is pressed. Replacing the battery is very convenient.

I can consistently light each range burner and the oven pilot in one or two "snaps".

$45 and an hour or two of work that really paid off. The DW loves it.

Nicely done! While I had my 2720 at the factory for a tune-up and repairs, I had them remove the oven and install a 3 burner cooktop. It has the rotary/ mechanical igniter for all 3 burners. Works well.

Thanks for sharing your handiwork. Once again, well done.
