Default Entry door problems

I have a new 2922 KS (with the new Silver Trail finish!). Very nice, but I have a problem closing the entry door. It won't close, unless we put the trailer WAY out of level (door side high). When level, the door strikes the frame on the bottom of the door jamb and will not close. When set up so that the door will close, the trailer is so far out of level that from the front or rear it is visibly tilted to one side.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to rehang the door. (Dealer shold do this).

Most likely it has to do with the alignment of the upper shell not going froward enough which then offsets the top of bottom door at the snap in pin. That in return moves the top of the bottom door aft. If that is the case you will need to change the pocket stops on the front shell. There is a slight chance the upper shell is not square side to side or front to aft, winch would mean you need to adjust the height of the lift arms on the torsion bars.

One time I was off level after blocking up the camper. It was still low on the curb side. Rather then backing off the blocks and adding another block. I really cranked up that side with the stabilizers and I had the same issue with the door hitting the strike plate. I took a little off the stabilizers and all was well. I figured that the frame flexed a little from loading the stabilizers.

Tentcamper,

That very well may be the solution, but its a brand new TM and should be in good working order. He should call and take it in where he bought it and to be adjusted.

Yea, I very much agree you should not be having this problem. Call the dealer and get them to make it right.
PS makes one wonder why they didn't catch this?
