As I remember, I think the curve in the rack made it possible to fasten the front low on the draw bar and still get high enough to clear the gas bottles. I don't have any close up pics and all that stuff is put away right now, but you can go to the other post - #7 on the page below, then right click and save the images to your computer, then you will be able to zoom in and see my connectors. It is actually a very simple rig - does require some welding that I did with a wire feed. I have taken corners that are a lot more then 90 degrees and the bikes don't even come close to the rear window on my pickup cap.
