Tovolo Perfect Cube Ice Cube Trays
I wasn't sure where to post this, but we like to make ice in our tiny TM freezer, and I've been thinking about a better ice cube tray, or some kind of a container that would make ice to keep in the cooler with a low profile. The ice cube trays we have take up way too much space and don't really fit in the freezer. Tonight I found these: http://tovolo.com/prod/uten/sil/ice/perfectcube.htm and ordered them. It looks like they will fit perfectly on the bottom of the little freezer and make the most of the space.
I'll post an update when I receive them. I am really excited about these! I think that the 3" height is with 2 combined. They have a King Extra Large Cube model that is 3" high, but I thought it would take too long to freeze the bigger cubes.

I was not certain our 04 2720 with Norcold 300 would make ice cubes. We just got it and have not been able to test it. Would be great to have our afternoon Latte's. We make them with our magic bullet. Fill with ice cubes, top off with cold coffee, and add Smucher's caramel (maybe a big tablespoon) and add sugar if want more sweetness. Great afternoon pick me up and save the $3 at McDonalds.

We use the Gel ice packs. We get them fro free.
Every time we pass Harris ranch I buy some ribeye steaks. They use the gel ice to pack them for travel. I must have about a dozen of then.
We use these for keeping drinks and sandwiches cold while we ride the ATVs.
I have regular ice in the coolers.

We really like the ice cube trays we bought, they work very well. It takes a while to freeze them when it's hot. You have to be careful with them when getting the ice cubes out. Don't use anything sharp, you have to have strong thumbs to push them out from the bottom. The size is perfect for the TM freezer, you can put them all on the bottom, or put all three on one side. It's nice for when you don't want to keep an extra cooler and buy ice to keep it cool. The TM refrigerator is something I do miss on our tent camping trips, we have to buy ice almost every day.

I found a pair of old Tupperware ice cube trays, with snap-on lids that fit fairly well in the freezer, and if the ice melts for some reason, it won't leak. Easy to stack things on top, too, without issue.
Why "fairly well"? Because, it leaves a small amount of space around it that isn't so easy for us to fill, so I feel that we're stacking stuff on top a lot, and I'd just as soon have it all positioned more on the bottom if possible. But, I like ice in my water, so it's a reasonable solution.

Ours stick to the bottom too, maybe spray some Pam on the bottom? Waxed paper? Plastic wrap? I'd be interested to check out those Tupperware ice cube trays

I'd try a double layer of wax paper. That way, even if something is sticking to something, you'll still be able to get the trays out, no problems.
