Default Temperatures in eastern OR

In August, we will slowly make our way from eastern OR to the coast. Having never been in this part of the world, we are wondering what temperatures we can expect in places like LaGrande, Nyssa, Burns, and Lakeview.

Thanks

Default Bring sunscreen!

Eastern Oregon can get very warm in August (highs in the 90s are common), although has *very* low humidity compared to Alabama (15% or less)! Overnights can get chilly, especially the southeastern corner (high desert).

Be sure to drink a lot of water! If you're not used to high-temp, low-humidity climates, it's very easy to get dehydrated. Also, the bottom right corner is very desolate, so keep the other eye on your tow vehicle.

Here's a great website for you to find some interesting stops:

Have a great trip!

Hi... The end of July and August are usually good for dry and some warm weather here in the NW, especially East. Our son went to school in Cheney, which is close to Spokane. It snows in the winter and is dry in the summer. A huge group from our church camp in Eastern Oregon, Cove Palisades, (I think I spelled that right) for a week at the end of July. It's very warm during the day, and can get cold during the night. Quite often there are thunder storms, but everyone loves it there because it's not raining all the time. August is a good month for the beaches as well. Along the Gorge and Multnoma Falls are popular tourists sites, and very beautiful. It's a must see if you get close to there, which is East of Portand.
