Bruce, adjust those brakes and then turning up you gain. I adjust the brakes so I don't know it's there when stopping on dry pavement. If it's raining or snowing, I turn the gain down.

Snowing? You're braver than I.

I dont plan on trips with snow. But when we head for a late Nov or Dec trip to wrap up a year. I never know what I will see in three weeks. This last trip, I was forced out a VA state park in early december because the snow was expected to hit with 18 to 24". We had to winterize at the CS and drive in light snow.

I hate driving in snow, but have 48+ years experience in doing so, since I always lived in the north. I take it slow, leave plenty of room to stop and behind the auto ahead of me. I always have a least 4/32 of tread on my tires.
