Hurry up warm weather!
Is it time to go camping yet? We bought our NTU trailmanor in January and haven't used it yet due to the harsh Colorado climate. We have had a few nice days lately and that itch to head out needs to be scratched. However, the nights are still getting pretty cold and I don't want to chance my pipes freezing on my maiden voyage. Also it has been too cold and windy to do much outside anyway. Looking at the forums, there are a lot of people looking at the recommended campgrounds, for sale, and wanted pages....so I guess I am not the only one with Spring fever. I am just waiting for it to get nice enough to try a little driveway camping, then off to Cheyenne Mtn for our maiden voyage. Anyone else ready to hit the road?

This weekend is going to be a tease, suppose to be sunny and warm. OK 50 to 60's here in NW Ohio but way better then windy and storming. Can't wait to get the TM out of the pole building and on the road either. Flowers are beginning to pop up so spring isn't to far off.

I just came in from outside, it is Sunny and in the 50's, but temps are still supposed to dip down near freezing at night. You go up a little bit in elevation and the temp keeps dropping. We aren't really safe here until well into May....
In Ohio do you need to book your trips months in advance like those of us out West?

Maybe we can have a special link for our first spring opening of the TM and our first trip out for the NEW camping season (2012) and share little problems that happened over the winter storage, that would be interesting and great information for other TM owners. (Example) what I forgot to do for the winter months for STORAGE, Da!!!!!! Just an idea.
I really don’t know how to word it, but I am sure lots of information would be very helpful...

I have already booked a campground in Michigan for June. Since it is close to the lake, I am concerned that they will fill up quickly. However, most of the response is that the schools are running later and June is fairly open. BUT, here in Ohio, schools aren't supposed to run past Memorial Day. And with gas being higher, I imagine many people will stay close to home.
But, YES, I am ready to get the Darlin' TM out of the barn, stocked up and ready to go!
Scrubbie is already out there, rvcycle guy is already out there. If not for DH still working, we would be on the road also!!!

I'm with you, Redsparow. We usually head to Lake Havasu in early March for Bluegrass events and then Spring Training in Scottsdale but illness and snowstorms knocked that out. Yesterday, we drove up to one of our favorite Utah campsites to check things out and there was still a foot of snow on the ground.
Maybe next month we can head down to Capitol Reef NP if the weather cooperates.

Opened our TM two days ago, started cleanup and checkout for a trip in a couple of weeks down to Myrtle Beach.

I'm always ready to go camping, sadly I can't go anywhere right now, too much work to do. It's torture, as the weather has been on and off really nice around here. At least I have a job and can help pay the bills . We go on walks along Seacliff Beach and New Brighton and there are always people grooving there in their tents & trailers. It makes us feel better to at least get some walks around the campground, kind of makes us feel like we're camping. If we see someone in a TM we visit when we can. Daylight savings is this weekend, we're losing an hour, when I would really like to gain one!

We are off to cedar key next week. Going to do some yakking, geocaching and a whole lot of sitting around.
