Patio light switch replacement

Has anyone found a suitable replacement switch for the interior "patio light" switch just to the right of the door? I have a 2007 model; the switch is small, off-white plastic, and self-contained. I have pulled mine out and see no way to do any maintenance. The switch is so stiff now we can not use it. I have tried The Car Show but they seem to be out of the Trailmanor parts ordering side of the business. Appreciate any leads.

It should be a spst (single pole single throw) 120v rocker switch. I'd just measure the body and do a lookup on Amazon. That is how I found the outdoor patio light switch.

Just about everything TM used were OTS devices.

If it is the inside switch (meaning it hasn't been exposed to the weather), you should have good luck giving it a shot of electrical contact cleaner. This stuff cleans oxidation off the contacts, and also has some kind of a lubricating base, both of which would do you some good. A spray can of this stuff probably costs about the same as a new switch, but it has other uses (think the Bargman connector between the TM and car).

You could also try a shot of some thin oil into a crevice in the switch. It won't clean the contacts, but might free up the moving parts. I suggest you do not use WD-40, which leaves a gummy residue when it dries.

You might find a replacement switch at Radio Shack, if you still have one operating in your area. Or order it. Since this is a 12-volt circuit, a switch rated either 12 volts or 120 volts will work.

Check hardware stores, lamp stores, etc. Aside from size, there is absolutely nothing special about this switch. It is a common generic.

I have tried the Amazon look up, and JR makes a switch with all the same voltage ratings as the original switch. Looks like the dimensions are right. We are on the road now in Wichita so will try PPL in Houston when we return. If they don't have one I will probably try the JR switch at about $7. Will try the cleaner approach as well; assume I can get that at Lowe's or equal. The Radio Shack option is gone in my area of Houston. Thanks for the leads.

Just got a pair of replacement patio lights off ebay a couple of weeks ago. Exact replacement assy includes bulb think it was $12 bucks. I needed a lens and switch so got them for parts.
