Default Best outdoor grill for TMs

If one gets the TM quick connect option for an exterior grill, which grills work best off of it?

Depends on your needs and wants. There is a multitude of grills on the market that will work. I bought a "Team Grill", which is a folding tailgating grill with wheels, that fulfills all of my needs. I also bought a 15ft propane hose, so I can put the grill where I want it.

but really , we have a small weber we carry, most of the time we are only cooking for two. so it is more than ample.

I have a small weber grill with 1lb fitting that I run off a Y on the propane tank. But it's needs high pressure LP.

The quick disconnect on the TM is Low Pressure. So you would need a low pressure grill or a grill that you could remove it's regulator and still have flame control on the grill. I bought a coleman stove that I can remove the regulator and will make the mod as soon as I make the low pressure quick disconnect mod for my wave heater.

Thanks for this detail. Did not know how to ask for this info, so glad you provided it.

I think it is all about personal preference, but we bought our TM from the original owner and they included a Thermos Grill 2 Go, and we love it. The grates are not the easiest to clean, but once you start lining it with aluminum foil it cleans-up super easy. Quick set up, huge grilling surface, and a griddle that folds on and off the grilling surface. We cook just about every meal on it.

Fourteener,

Where do you store all that on board? Does it (or the stand) ride inside, and if so, do you wrap it every time so that it doesn't scratch up your interior?

I'd like a larger grill than this dinky Coleman, but it fits in the rear cubby.

Wingedryder,

You guessed it, I stow it just inside the door, it sits between the fridge and where the microwave sits (vinyl flooring just in front of the bathroom). Legs fold down and then the grill snaps back onto the legs so that it can be wheeled around. I believe the new models may have telescoping legs? I simply place it on a rectangular plastic boot tray (nice for shoes under the step once we arrive on site). It may move slightly, but I haven't had any problems, and I've traveled some pretty rough roads (USFS campgrounds in Colorado). Also, I must be honest, I'm a pretty picky guy and I always clean my grill prior to packing-up. Also, I always line the inside with foil to make clean-up much quicker and easier. We really like the grill. Best guess is 8 hamburgers on the grates and I can do 4 pancakes on the griddle at a time (Dad's attempt to keep the kids happy)!

Hope this helps!
