Gas line plug
need a little help folks, took the frig out today, and do not know if i will have replaced before i go on a trip soon, where i took the gas line loose from it, is that a compression fitting? Or what i need to know is what kind of plug to i need to close off, i know it is 3/8 in size, any help plz?

Most likely it is a flare fitting, brass nut and the end of the copper tubing is flared out. If it is a compression fitting there will be some kind of brass ring around the tubing that makes the seal. Just about any hardware store should be able to fix you up.

removing the frig
How difficult was it to remove the frig? I have a broken wire on the heat meter and it looks like I need to remove the frig to fix it.

Was not hard at all , less then 1 hr, gas line loose, 12 volt wires cut and caped, about 4 screw in the front, under the little caps, then slid right out. Hopes this helps.

Just a fyi, plug size is a 3/8 compression plug/cap, tks for the help folks,got me in right area,
