Default 2619 Sport in Oct. 2005 Trailer Life

I just received my October 2005 issue of Trailer Life in the mail. On page 104, there is a nice well written article & pictures of the 2619 TrailManor Sport.

Just read the same article. Any idea how long it will take TrailManor to even mention the sport on their website? I would expect that their own site would be "a" source for new products and features. We just purchased our TM a week ago. If the 2619 sport had been a better match for our needs but we selected an earlier model because we had no clue there was a new model on the horizon I would be a bit upset!

Check it out on this site. http://adcache.cycletrader.com/adcac...5/77802695.htm It's pretty well stripped out.

Bill & Lisa -

The phrase "new model" doesn't have the usual meaning here. Apparently the Sport is meant for the low-end rental market. As HHOENIG and Jim Erdman mentioned, it has been stripped back nearly to the walls. To my way of thinking, much of what makes a Trailmanor enjoyable has been taken out of the Sport model, and I readily admit I don't know who would want one. IMHO, you ain't missed nuthin'.

There was a discussion a few months ago - see

Thanks Bill,
I guess the whole thing just rubbed me the wrong way. I don't like someone deciding what I might like or not like. By not offering that model to people to purchase but deciding it is only suitable for the rental market I react instintively the same way as when the government makes a decision based on what is in "my best interest" - without consulting me. At least one owner on the referenced thread would have liked the "opportunity" to purchase the sport. IMHO, I like the frills offered in our 3023. I just think the average consumer is smarter than some buisnesses (or governments) give us credit for. Bill

If I owned the rentals I would want everything as simple as possible. It could be you or me or it could be someone with zero experience. I think its just another way for TM to market their stuff. The market will target itself. Get the potential customer in the TM and experience the towability. Then direct them to whats really available.

Default 2005 Trailmanor 2619 Sport

Just saw my first TM 2619 Sport... it's for sale at eBay:

Looks like it has beds on both end with sofas and tables... interesting set up. I think I prefer mine better but if you were a family of 4 this may be a very nice set up.
