Inside Clean
Just finish cleaning the inside. Took all of the curtains down and removed the bed covers. Took them to the laundry-mate and wash them really good. So finish reinstalling them. All fresh and smells great again. Wipe down all the walls and ceiling with soap and water too. Took a carpet cleaner to the couches and cushions. So one fresh unit ready to go. Looks so much better than when we purchase it.
I also was able to fix the toilet and remount it. Was lucky enough to have the mounting clips still on it. No leaks and the pump works too. So another win for the old wholesale unit. Everything is working down to the heater. Now just have to figure out where to go for our first shakedown cruise.

Your work looks great, very comprensive.
This looks like brand new, except that some of your upgrades make it even better! Thanks you for all the photos and explanations!

Thanks for the kind words. The TM-3023 has been a lot of labor and fixing the small stuff. Good little project so far. Had new grease wheel seals come today. Had one that was cut and sprayed grease all over the rim. What a mess. Just those little things can add up to something major if you do go over you camper.
Saw this little Mod if you will. Install the awning tools and scissor jack tools behind the couch back. Just by using 2 wood screws. The other tools will use a piece of velcor attached to the back.

End to the project
Well this is the end for the old TM 3023. The adventures never happened. With much deliberation we decided to sell the camper. Everything was finish and looking factory new. Did a lot of mods and improvements along the way. Those LED lights where awesome. But it is too hard for me to open the unit by myself. Plus the DW was having a hard time getting up and down into the bed. Don't know if will buy another camper. I was thinking of an Elkmont TM. But the DW was thinking traveling in more of a custom van and hotel style.
We'll still be checking in and following the TMOP. DW keep up with it on facebook. Thanks to all that supported us during this build. And thanks for looking and following along. The couple we sold it to is very excited to own it and plan many adventures out West with it. I did them right and gave them new water/filter hoses, wheel leveling chucks etc. So they are all set.
It's All Good.

Although still 'work in progress' ,
my scheme to augment inadequate lift from the torsion bars by adding gas struts could resolve the lifting problem in other TM models as well. Both my fron and rear shells are becoming too difficult to lift as I become older.
But travel in a nice van and staying at hotels is certainly a great alternative to "camping" with all the set up and take down work. I've loved your pictures and posts about the upgrade, and I hope that you find a generous and appreciative buyer for your TM!

Thanks for the kind words.
Yes we found a buyer that is super excited about the Trailmanor as we all are. I turned them onto this site and a couple of others to help with any issues they might have. Told them all about some tricks to help mod their unit.
I have been watching your lift shock mod. I know it might work. But I think when trying to close it your going to have the opposite effect. And the issue of the sides binding if they don't operate at the same rate.
I came up with a better solution. Remove the torsion bars and install a straight shaft. In the middle center part, have a DC vector drive motor with two rubber couplers on either side. Connect the two shafts to the motor. Install a switch on the outside somewhere of your liking. Boom, flip the switch and magically it opens. I would only do this on the front. The back is always easy to open up. The extra weight from the motor would be minimal. Those motors are strong with a lot of torque, but light weight. The motors we had on our slide of our Class A where very strong and small. Now that would be cool to mod. cheers.

Rain+Snow, and some yard work, has delayed pulling the TM out of the garage to drill new lift arm holes for the longer struts on the front shell. I still anticipate excellent results when I find some time, probably within the next 2 weeks.
(I've quoted this into the "gas struts" thread as well)
