My Awning ???s

I have a 1990 model and the awning is in a hard metal case. It pulls down and retracts like a projector screen. There is a leg attached on either side. There are 2 other aluminum legs that slide into the end of those. Those two lower legs have a plastic semi-circle on the end that appears to go on a hook on the side of the camper to hold the awning out. Something is missing though. I have nothing that holds the upper leg and lower leg together and/or keeps them from sliding or coming apart. What should be there?

Mine has a threaded screw with a round black plastic handle that tightens to keep the legs at the extended length you choose. You can order these from TM or you might find them at a hardware store. I always tighten mine when I collapse the legs otherwise could vibrate loose and fall out.
