Shower curtain problem
Is anyone finding this?
My 2020 TM has a different shower curtain from both of my previous TMs. That is OK, except the the weave is so loose that water sprays right through it, soaking the toilet and anyone using it (don't ask). Of course it also soaks the three walls around the tub - not a good idea. This is truly annoying. If anyone else has this problem and found a solution (other than simply replacing the curtain), I'd like to hear about it. Otherwise I will try Scotchgard Fabric Water Shield.

Interesting. Wouldn’t a new shower curtain be just as cost effective and probably a whole lot simpler?

I expect that replacing the shower curtain is the best option.
I love the shower curtain mod so much I'd probably be aiming to do that for any future TM I'd get. However, I do notice that cheap velcro from Walmart doesn't last. It's the adhesive side that just comes right off. If any one has better ideas other than velcro, I'm all ears, but I will likely try marine grade velcro next.
If you don't want the shower mod, I'd look into replacing it with a new fabric shower curtain. We got one for our home because it is much easier to put into the washing machine, and water doesn't go right through it. It likely has to be cut and hemmed though, so some sewing skills might be necessary for this.
Perhaps a different version of the shower mod might involve the fabric curtain, but use rare earth magnets glued to the bathroom walls and sewn into the fabric shower curtain? This would allow the shower curtain to be more easily removed for washing and air drying of the bathroom walls so that mold doesn't have a chance to get started between a vinyl shower curtain placed using the velcro method.

Shane, Larry -
Yes, we could replace the curtains. We would have to be sure to get ones with the little slots in the top for the hangers. Then my wife would have to cut and sew the bottom ends. Then move all the little hangers, and rehang. It would cost more than a can of Scotchgard. And we still wouldn't know if it is going to work until all of that is done.
That's not my first choice.

I did the shower mod and love it. Used little circular paperclips to hang the curtain up.

After much agonizing and indecision, I bit the bullet and ordered some spray Scotchguard, $8 a can at my local Ace Hardware. They have two versions - Wimpy (for couches and doilies and stuff) and Mighty (for tents, awnings, backpacks, canvas, polyester, nylon, and so forth). I chose Mighty, of course. It will arrive on Tuesday, in time for me to spray it before our upcoming camping trip to the Granite Dells in Prescott, AZ.
I'll report the results.

Thanks for reminding me. I took the curtains out of the TM, hung them from the ceiling of my garage, and used an entire can of spray on each curtain (or half-curtain, if you like). It might have been cheaper - and certainly better - to replace the curtains with new ones that are actually waterproof. I think such curtains can be purchased from an RV supply house, and of course they would need to have the little slots in the top border where the little wheeled carriers are hooked in.
Bottom line - the spray appeared to work, though it was hard to get an even coating on the curtain material. I am concerned that if/when I have to wash the curtains, the spray will wash out. But I haven't done that yet.
