Where to overnight along interstate 81& interstate 40

We are taking a trip from Charlottesville VA to Arizona (Flagstaff) from late May to mid June. We would like to end up between Bristol and Knoxville the first night. After that try to make 500 to 600 miles per day.This is our first major trip in our TM. Any suggestions on spots to overnight along the way would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help. Guess we will stay at Bristol @ Sugar Hollow,North Little Rock,Ovrenight RV park in Amarillo,and then Holdbrook. Would like to see the Petrified Forest. At least thats the trip out. We will then spend some time on the north rim and at Sedona to ride Verdi Canyon railroad. The return trip may go through San Antonio depending on time.
