Default Prophets Town SP, IN

Prophets Town SP has become our favorite place to stay on our way to see the "outlaws" in WI. It is near West Lafayette, IN (Purdue U.) which gives us a good jump in getting thru the dreaded Chicago area. This is very historic ground being the home of Tecumseh's brother (the Prophet) plus it is only a gunshot away from Tippecanoe Battle ground. There are ~3 miles of paved bike paths 12' wide thru fields of wildflowers which are just spectacular when in bloom. The sites are large and well screened from the neighbors with at least 1/2 the sites being full hook up and the rest having only electric. This place has been spotless on each of the 3 occasions we've stopped there. Unfortunately there is no pool or lake/river to swim in but that really hasn't been a problem for us. Don't follow the computer or GPS directions to the park. They are WRONG!! Follow the directions on the website.

We love it. Site 109, 113, and 115 are good but haven't seen a bad 1 yet.
