Saw one parked (collapsed) in front of a home down one of the side streets in Markleeville, CA. Wonder if they are members here. We camped at the Carson River Resort in beautiful Markleeville from Oct 23 - 27th.

We spotted a 2518 in the campground of the Grand Canyon South Rim pulled by a minivan. I went over to introduce myself, and it turns out the owner, David and his wife Neila, are members of this forum (daneco)! We had a very nice chat about our TM's, especially seeing as how the low temps at night were dipping into the 20s.

From the South Rim, we went on to the North Rim for a few days, and then up to Utah for a few days, and eventually started to make our way back home. On the way back, we stayed at the Valley of Fire state park in Nevada, and saw ANOTHER 2518 pulled by a minivan. Or at least we thought it was another one. Turns out we had the pleasure of meeting up with David and Neila again, as we just happened to run into them again by total coincidence.

Gee ...I had hoped someone had spotted us on our 1200 mile trip to Missouri...well we are less then half way back ...spending the night in Paducah Ky...so if some one sees a dirty 3124 KS on the road to Florida tomorrow it might just be us. (We ran in to a few snow flurries in St. Joseph MO and again about 50 miles West of St. Louis. I had no idea falling snow could make a camper so dirty)

We replaced the tires on the TM July 2017 I will update when I have time to get the specs

What's new...we went to all LED lighting and love them.

Today, 11/26 about 4:20 p.m. I spotted a newer TM (looked like a 2619 or 2720?) being towed south on Highway 1 in Moss Landing (just north of Monterey). Silver tow vehicle, SUV?

Anyone on this board?

We're staying home this Thanksgiving. The turkey is brining in our cooler .

We go to Markleeville a lot during the summer when Ebbetts Pass is open. We live near Big Trees State Park off of Highway 4. Is the campground the one just south of town? We had looked at camping there but the road seems too rough. Or do you camp farther south along the Carson River.

As Ebbetts Pass is too steep and narrow when we go to the other side of the Sierra's we have to go over to Jackson and take 88.

Edited: I just reread your post and I know what camping area you are talking about. We like to have lunch at the deli in Markleeville.

Thumbs up TMs running wild in So Cal

TMs (count them -- 4) all over the place during the past Thanksgiving week...11/22 - just caught a glimpse of one at the El Capitan State Beach ranger station so only a probable sighting; 11/23 -waiting at the lights near I-405 and Artesia -- we all waved and went our different directions; 11/23 at San Clemente State Beach, a 3123 that left the next day - I talked to John briefly since he was closing up and ready to move on; 11/29 - I-5 near Patterson exit, passed me in a flash and kept going. In addition, we met with Kathy for a couple hours in Oceanside; she has a TM she is learning about so we had pie, coffee, and good conversation. (Keep going Kathy!)

We spotted a TM making a U turn from eastbound 60 to westbound 60 in AZ at 11:11 AM between Apache junction and Gold Canyon, due east of Phoenix. Silver TV. I think it was a truck with cap but it might have been a Suburban. Silver color. I think It was Monday 12/1, but it might have been over the weekend.

We were in a rental car visiting nephew for the holiday.

This thread was started in 1996 by ColoradoCop, one of our best contributors but now gone by the wayside. It has been a lot of fun, but the thread has gotten unwieldy at more than 400 posts!

Wayne (PopBeavers) suggested that we terminate the original thread, and start a new one on the same topic. I think Wayne had a good point, so I'm going to close this thread, and start a new one. Keep those reports coming, folks!
