Default Suggestion for Lake Tahoe area?

I would like to do a trip from Southern CA to Lake Tahoe. I was thinking of spending a week at Tahoe and was wondering if anyone has stayed in that area. I prefer full hook-up campgrounds and an area good for small children.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

There is only one RV park at the north end of the lake that I know of and it books up a year in advance.

I haven't been to the south end of the lake in years but here's a link to reviews at the south end: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions...ake_Tahoe.html

Check out Zephyr Cove: http://www.zephyrcove.com/

It is on east side of Lake just North of Casinos.
