Not on the tongue, but Swagman makes a 3 or 4 bike carrier that fits on a sleeve that goes over your hitch bar which puts it between your TV and TM. We carry two bikes on this and then two more on the rear hitch of the TM.

You may have to purchase a longer bar for your WDH. We did.

If you make a sharp turn, either going forward or (especially) backing up, does the tow vehicle smack the bikes?

We haven't done this with the TM; but with other trailers you just watch your turns a little closer and it isn't a problem as long as the you don't jack knife the trailer.

These folks are expensive, but the bike rack mounts on the trailer's front A-Frame:

Guess you would have to take the whole thing off before opening your folding Trailmanor though.
Have also seem home made versions somewhere. rv.net?

We haven't had any issues with hitting the bikes when turning sharply. We do only put 2 bikes on the rack though. Also, we have a longer bar for the WDH which provides some guardband.
The only issue that I remember was when we did not disconnect the TM from the TV overnight. It was very tight to leave the bikes on but doable.
Even though we carried only 2 bikes between TV and TM while towing, we did use the other slot/slots when we drove to a location away from our campsite to bike. We take the bikes off of the rear of the TM and put them on the Swagman. We carry 4 bikes total.

Check out Prodeco folding bikes. Most of theirs ave electric assist, but they make a couple of models that are regular bikes that fold.
Me I'm looking at one with an electric motor...
