Change Over Gas Regulator
I may need to replace my gas regulator. Does anyone have any good experiences with any particular replacement?
thanks

I replaced mine with one like this....
Marshall Excelsior MEGR-253 Reg 2-Stage Auto Vert Bulk https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00KPR9Q..._LzzkCbZJNJX2B
But I bought mine from a local RV shop... It was actually about the same price. Highly recommend replacing all your soft rubber lines at the same time. I had mine made at a local LP gas place... High quality and about the same cost or less than the premade ones.

That Marshall one looks like the same one supplied by the factory. My complaint with that type is that the indicator window where you look to tell if a changeover has occurred is super small, and I find it very difficult to read. If I ever have to replace mine, I will replace it with one that looks like these, which looks to be way easier to read:

I haven't looked to see how they differ, or whether they would fit the TM. I'm sure one of their models could be used.

Dave- Looks like the only difference between those two regulators is one comes in a box, one comes in a plastic clamshell package. That, according to several Q&A on Amazon.

Could be. I just would want to review the specs, like inlet/outlet diameter and pressure, and comparing it to the one currently on the TM before buying it. A quick call to Cavagna to ask what is an appropriate replacement to the Marshall unit TM installed might also work.

Do you need a vertical or horizon mounted regulator. Just think the horizontal tanks might have a horizontal mounted regulator. I do believe the the regulators have an orientation then need to be mounted????
I did one years ago. I had vertical tanks and regulator. I bought a vertical Marshall Excelsior regulator same regulator I had on the camper. I bought two new gas pigtails to run to the tanks because the old lines were very hard. perfect fit including the screw holes to mount the regulators.
I did not get the same PN regulator because marshall changed their lineup of products. I remember, there were different regulators because gas flow rating. But all the inlet and output fitting size were the same.
