A request for photos
We have a 2004 2720SL. We are in need of photos of the powered roof fan/vent and also of the non-powered vent taken from inside the TM from a similar in age TM.
We have had roof leaks since we purchased our TM used and now have an appointment to have it repaired at Camping World. I don't know how familiar they are with TMs and I want to give them as much information about the situation before they open it to work on it. Ours is folded down and inside a shed we built for it so I can't get inside to take the photos. Can someone help me out? You can post the photos to this thread or send them in a private message to me. Thank you in advance.

Photos of Roof vents
Thanks Randy, these photos are great!
Does anyone have a photo of the vent with the electric fan that is close to the range and door?

I had a leak in ours, which appeared with the first heavy rain we camped in. I took the old caulking off the outside of the Fantastic Fan mount, both around the fan hardware, and around the base of the mounting (wood) frame. It stopped the leak.
Whatever they do, don't let them caulk on the inside of the inner frame, inside the TM. By doing this, any water that enters from the outside will stay in the wall, instead of dripping onto (in our case) the sink. It must be sealed from the outside, not the inside.

My 2006 2720SL leaked around the powervent near the stove. I bought a generic vent/ caulk repair kit from Camping World, removed the vent ,cleaned off the old caulk on the outside. The new caulk is about 1 inch wide and I laid that on the outside edge and set the vent back on. Leak stopped. The kit also came with screws that i did not use. My powervent is held on by long screws from the inside. Logman Bill

Might be other caulking...
Hi,
I just found an issue with water leaking from the non-powered vent...turned out that the caulking on the external trim strip had come loose and let water into the left half to right half (not fore/aft) joint just ahead of the vent; I surmise the wind blew the water into the vent area where it found its way inside.
Just a note to help assure the problem gets fixed...
