Default The Stove and Oven...not screwed in right

On inspecting the stove and oven in our new/used 2000 3124KS, I found the unit loose and noticed many screws sitting on under the black top of the stove. Also that many of the screws that were screwed in were out of place and some of the holes striped.

After much maneuvering I was able to get the screws back in which tightened the whole unit back up. Thinking that they had been shaken loose from travel, I cut two pieces of 2x4's (the space under the oven is about 9" tall") and braced up the oven from underneath. I placed several folded pieces of aluminum foil between the wood and the oven...just to be safe. They are not super tight just snug.

We'll see how it stands up this weekend.

God bless, Frank

Default We had that problem, too

The same thing happened to our stove/oven. Lock-Tite didn't work, so we used some extra pieces of wood just as you did, replaced some screws with larger ones, and one year later things are still holding up.

Your repair will probably do the trick.
