Water heater not staying lit
I have a 2012 2417, with a propane-only water heater.
When I camped above 8000' last year, it snuffed itself frequently. I overcame this by opening the outside cover a few inches. I made a hardware cloth screen, with a solid top, to put in when I have it open.
In June, we were at 7500' for a week, with no problems. But, last week, at 6200', it snuffed every 24-36 hours, or so. It wasn't windy, and I didn't have the cover open, as described above, initially. After re-lighting it twice, I opened the cover, and it was fine for 3 days, even through the horrendous hail/rain storms one night.
Does anyone else have problems keeping their water heater lit at higher elevations? The heater in the 2417 must be manually lit with a match - it does not light from a switch inside the trailer.
