Default Safety: maintenance for Fire Extinguisher

Most of us have a dry chemical ABC Extinguisher in our campers and homes. Did you know that you should take it out and vigorously shake it, and even strike it on the side to get the powder loose? Over time and in higher temps the powder settles and clumps up so that when you need it all you get is the gas propellant. By shaking it you loosen up the powder and it will actually work for you. I do this once a year in the house where the temp is controlled and 2 times a year in the camper.

Speaking of extinguishers. The walmart near Padre Island had one too big for the storage spot. where would I find a smaller extinguisher to fit the original spot?

I found one at Lowe's but did have to do some trimming to get it to fit.
