I replaced the company provided bar with a socket attached to an 8" extension and big breaker bar. I can engage or disengage with ease now.

Since I use a CPAC machine with two batteries, I made a shelf using PVC and some scrap plywood on hand. It keeps me from getting tangled in the hose.
