Clean any sealant/silicone/gunk from the area. Use 2 sided Eternabond tape to seal the order, too to bottom. Put a heavy bead of 3M 4200 on the underside of the edges of the trim piece. Install the trim piece, press firmly to seat it on the Eternabond tape, and smoosh the 4200 put the sides. Tool the smooshed 4200 along the edges. Once it’s dry, that corner will never come off and never leak into the cabin!

In case you can’t tell, I’m a fan of 3M 4200 and Eternabond tape.

I resealed a number of areas on my TM a couple of years ago. The silicone I used is now very dirty and almost impossible to clean. It seems to have acted like glue to dirt. I take it that this is not a problem with 3M 4200 silicone, is that assumption correct?
