With the camper closed, the arms run horizontal parallel to the bottom edge of the shell, then make a 90° turn up into the wall where they pivot. On that vertical piece there is a bolt sticking out. That is the pocket stop. If you turn that bolt in (righty tighty), the shell will open further. If you turn that bolt out (lefty loosey), the shell won’t open as far. These were added to TrailManors in early 2000. I’ve heard as well that the ones towards the middle of the camper will fine tune shell height since the shell technically sits on that bolt since the arm and wall are connected via a floating pivot. But you’d have to really back the bolt out to see any significant height adjustment.
