Are you saying that even if the trailer's battery is disconnected from the trailer (with a disconnect switch or by removing a battery terminal), and the trailer is not plugged into shore power, and the trailer is not plugged into the tow vehicle, the alarm still beeps? That means that the alarm must be operating on its own internal battery, probably a common rectangular 9-volt battery. It should be easy to pop that battery out, to shut off the alarm.

I know that is not your primary concern - you would like to figure out what is making it beep. But just like a household smoke alarm, if its internal battery is dying, the alarm will chirp to warn you that it needs to be replaced.

Can you give us the make/model of the offending beeper?
