I think any soap used directly in freshwater streams and lakes is a bad idea.

Many parks ask hikers to do their cleanup with bio-degradable soap at some set-back (? 50' ?) from streams and lakes. That way the soap degrades in the soil before it reaches the surface water. The same approach for trailer campers sounds good to me.
