I was having problems accessing the TrailManor "chat" feature with a new Windows XP sp2 computer. When I clicked on the "chat" link I got the red "X" broken link icon in the upper left hand corner of the pop-up window using MS Internet Explorer 6.

I Figured out (actually remembered) that the TrailManorOwners chat feature uses something called the "Java Virtual Machine" which Microsoft no longer provides. If you click on the "chat" link and get a blank page with a red "X" in the pop up you might need to download the Sun "Java Virtual Machine" to your computer at the following link:

http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp (look upper right-hand corner)
