Default First trip with my 2720!

I got my 2010 2720 a couple of weeks ago and have since been going through it to make sure everything worked and it could pass inspection. I replaced the brakes and bearings, but otherwise everything else has been great!

We took our first camping trip this past weekend at Shad Landing state park in Maryland, as it is only about 30 minutes from our house and we figured it would be a good shakedown for us. Happy to report that there were no issues, everything was great!

Our spot did not have power, but I powered the trailer from my F-150 Lightning for the weekend. Running everything off the truck would use about a percent an hour, so after a couple of days I went back into town and charged up again (at a free charger which was nice). I had picked a site that had the water connection right beside it, as I figured that would be easier than having to take the trailer over or take jugs of water back and forth.

After this first trip it made me realize that I wish the kitchen sink was a two sink unit, but I understand why that wouldn't work since the water heater is directly below the sink. I've been looking at some countertop dishwashers; does anyone have any experience with those? I wanted to see how I could cut down on water usage/grey water if possible, and I figured that might be a decent way to do it. If there is a two sink unit I could install into the trailer I'd also be interested in that, as I will have to replace the kitchen faucet anyway since it doesn't work correctly (I have to turn it on very slowly or the pump will shut off, I think the diverter is bad).

All in all it was a wonderful weekend, my wife loved everything and we are excited to do some upgrades and design changes to the trailer!

Yeah, one of the little countertop ones. I seemed to use a lot of water washing dishes, but I guess I could just get paper and plastic utensils. I thought that maybe a dishwasher would save some water usage too

One can learn to conserve water when washing dishes. Get a small plastic tub that fits in the sink and partially fill it with warm water and detergent. Begin washing small things like utensils. Rinse them under a very slow stream of water into the tub. Now that the tub is more full, add more dirty dishes and repeat. I can usually wash dishes from a family of 4 and fill the tub just once.

I know it's not as convenient as a dishwasher, but for me it's not worth it to have the extra appliance.

Speaking of appliances, we did buy a portable clothes washer and spinner. The clothes washer is completely manual, and you can't put much in it, but it will sit on the counter beside the sink. The spinner does use electricity, but no heat. Clothes come out almost dry. Maybe not wearable yet, but would dry fairly quickly when hung.

We bought this, years ago. Uses no electricity, easy to store and gives us no trouble.
