Icon tank vent fitting

I have tried looking at a 2" reducer. The problem is that the 2" is the ID, not rhe OD. I think I'm either going to try some JB plasti-weld or just some marine sealant and goop it up good. At this point, I'm thinking about just making one. I don't like the 1/4" lip at the drain. If I make one, I can do it right. I kind of wish I would have just made one from the start.

Look here for a bunch of ABS fittings with an OD of 1 29/32". That equates to a bit over 1/32" on each side in a 2" hole, which might be a small enough gap to be sealed with some ABS cement. If there end up being any gaps, you could make some ABS paste from shavings and cement to seal them.

IF.... 2" is the I.D., You simply cut a piece of 2" ABS pipe (which has a 2" O.D.) about 3" long and glue that in your tank and put that fitting over the piece that sticks out.

However, I believe that the 2" reducer bushing has a 2" O.D. but I could be wrong.

2" ABS is 2.375" OD. I'm just going to try some 3M 5200 and goop it up. That stuff had held things on my boats for years.

Just do a search for 2" bulkhead fitting and find one with the threads you want to adapt.

I got in touch with Icon. The tank I received has an oversize fitting installed. There is no adapter that will fit. I was offered a replacement but the 3m 5200 seems to work fine.
