Default Convert Dinette to FreeStanding Table

Okay, so for those of us larger folks out there that find the dinette table a tight fit here is what I did. I converted it to a free standing table by adding different table legs.

I went to my local RV dealer and purchased the folding table legs that I used to have on my Rockwood Pop Up. $26.00

I like these better because I can move the table where ever I want, and it allows me more room to scoot into the dinette and get to the overhead cabinets because I can shove the table to one side or the other, or easily pull it out completely for total access.

See attached PDF for pictures and documentation.

It's not for everybody, but I sure am happy with it.

Default Love it

I have searched the internet for a set of those same legs. I never did find any. I thought the idea was great. I had the same table in my pop up and I liked that I could take it outside if I wanted or scoot it over to get in the bench seat storage. Can you tell me who you got them from. I have no RV dealers here that have supplies and stuff.

Thanks

Good job, my Palamino had those legs too. I always kept the table stowed, over the years those small shims started to just seperate from the table. Once I realized that, I pulled the table out and set down a suitable section of ply wood in its place. very good job with the directions posted, will be very helpful to others.

MT Camper, I found them on both Amazon and eBay by just typing "folding table legs"

Very nice mod, great job, Sara!

When I search on amazon this style of leg does not come up in the first five pages of results.

I got mine from Appleton camping. http://www.appletoncamping.com

You could probably call and ask for the parts dept and have them order and ship to you.

I just went thru 20 pages on Amazon and did not find these table legs. Do you have an order number for the legs you found? Still can't find them on the internet.

Thanks.

okay here goes my first post...sorry if I am doing this wrong. My question for Bailey's Mom is: how do you store the table for travel?

I will fold the legs in as far as they will go, probably wrap a bungie around them so they don't flop down, and then store it same place as it normally goes. It is just like before, it will rest on the little edges where you would place it if making it into a bed. Just the same as my old popup also. My popup camper had Velcro to wrap around the legs as mentioned by a previous poster.
